Ted Williams considers himself a novelist. Sadly, no one else does. After another failed publishing pitch, Ted receives a career lifeline from his ex- and soon-to-be-married-to-another-guy wife. A reclusive author needs help completing his final novel. Delivery date is in seven days. Ted takes the job, only to find out that there is no book. And Pembrooke West, the famed American writer, chooses to display racist and sexist propensities instead of the talents responsible for fueling genre-establishing counter cultures.
